The Wolfgang Special showcases a basswood body with an arched top and a sturdy graphite-reinforced bolt-on quartersawn maple neck. Expertly crafted to Eddie Van Halen's specifications, the neck features a hand-rubbed satin urethane finish for a smooth and comfortable feel. Designed for high performance, the 12"-16" compound radius ebony fingerboard includes 22 jumbo frets and pearloid dot inlays, perfect for energetic riffing and blazing leads. Adjusting the truss rod is now a breeze with the conveniently located spoke wheel at the neck base.
Equipped with custom-designed EVH Wolfgang Alnico 2 humbucking pickups mounted directly to the body, this guitar delivers dynamic, articulate sound with endless sustain. The reliable EVH-branded Floyd Rose locking trem and locking nut ensure precise tuning even with extreme pitch changes, while the EVH D-Tuna allows quick drop-D tuning. The volume knob with a treble bleed circuit and the tone control knob with a high friction pot provide smooth swells and prevent accidental tone shifts.
